Christmas Crackers and More
At our December meeting we got festive and created Christmas crackers and folded paper cards to share with friends and family.
Kathy showed us how to make a lovely gift - a Christmas scented candle in a cup and saucer.
Wednesday 13th September
Beading Workshop
Not quite halloween but one of our members Jane Newns introduced us to beading jewellery spiders.
She provided all the materials needed so we could have a go.
The results were very realistic
Saturday 13th May
Quiz and Pudding Evening
After a break for a year our main fund-raising event, The Quiz and Pudding Evening, was back and it did not disappoint. This was a lovely social evening and Sarah, our Quiz-master, really got our brains working with some clever and cryptic questions. Competition was tight, with only a few points between the top 4 teams.

Hats
For our May meeting we had Milliner Extraordinaire Tricia Hamilton who brought along a range of her exclusive hats, headpieces and fascinators. It was an opportunity for those who love hats to learn a bit more about the best approach to headwear and try out show stopping statement hats and extravagant masks through to delicate fascinators.
There was plenty of interaction and audience participation and an informal try on/dress up at the end! We were even be able to purchase some of her heavily discounted samples!
Wednesday 8th March
Truffle Workshop
For a Mother's Day treat Clare White from Pat-a-Cakes demonstrated how
to create delicious truffles
The main ingredients being cream and chocolate
The truffles are rolled into shape
and then we enjoyed the rather messy business of decorating them
The finished mouthwatering results.

Visit to Cheltenham Ladies College
On a lovely sunny afternoon a small group of us were treated to a guided
tour of the College. We were show around the historic buildings which
ranged from Victorian, Acts and Crafts movement and more modern 1970's
design by two very knowledge guides who pointed out the many interesting
architectural features of college. They outlined the founder Dorothea Beale's
ambitions for her pupils and the way the College has continued to up hold
her high standard to the present day.
