Sunday 7th SeptemberAmerican Visitors Lunch
We were asked to provide lunch for about 90 American visitors who are descendants of Reverend Bridger, a previous Rector for some 50 year or more of Slimbridge Church in the 1500's. After attending a Church service and dedication they were shown archive parish registers and given a tour of the church and bell tower.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make their visit such a success.
Wednesday 13th AugustFashion Styling & Image
Debby from Debby and Jilly Lingerie in Ledbury (Debby and Jilly on facebook) came to teach us how to dress to best effect. We found out what our wardrobe personality is and what type of dresser we are i.e. natural, romantic, dramatic etc. We learnt how to make the best of our body shape, enhancing our image and how to put outfits together. She stressed the importance of underwear, are they properly sized with a good fitted bra and the decision between big knickers or G strings.

Rag Rugging
This month we learnt the traditional craft of rag rugging. Sam Osbourne showed us how to the create the basic square using felt put onto a hessian backing. These can then be sown together to make a rug or when given a modern twist can be made into teacosys, bags or even phone covers.
