CISMARGINS removes extraneous clutter from the margins.

Establish the margin settings using CISVIEWER, ensuring that the roll never wanders into the masked area.
The right margin may be expressed as either the offset from the left edge (as reported by CISVIEWER) or as simply its width (assuming this to be less than half the total scan width). Settings of zero in either margin will therefore leave that side unaffected.

Enter the margin settings into CISMARGINS and drop the CIS file into its window.

The resulting file has a modified filename but retains the original file date and time.

An obscure bug has emerged in Warren Trachtman's software affecting bi-colour scans that include the tapered leader when totally white margins are added.
Although everything appears normal on screen, the resulting MIDI file is completely garbled.
The workaround adds a single pixel width black strip in the right margin.
