Website Launched!

In October 2007 the Kingfisher Court website was launched: www.KingfisherCourt.info

In June 2014 the website was updated and relaunched with a new look.

Tennis Court Refurbishment

In 2007 work started to refurbish the tennis court, which was still the original court and in dire need of repair. It was officially re-opened in 2008 by residents Norman Baker and Anthony Charlesworth.

Pool Improvements

In 2011 and 2012, improvements were made to the pipework for the pool pump to allow it to operate more efficiently, allow the fountain to be switched off (until now the fountain had to be on if the filter/pump system was on) and introduce an in-line chlorine feeder.

Water Works

In late 2012 and early 2013 the mains water system was upgraded and trace heating fitted to all roof pipes to prevent the annual problem of pipes freezing during cold winter weather. A new pump system was also fitted to the supplies for blocks 49-51A and 52-57 which suffered from very poor water pressure from being at the end of the mains water loop.

Bike Shed

In 2013/2014 work was carried out by the Residents’ Association to improve the space in the bike shed. Thirty new bike racks were purchased and fitted which allows bikes to be mounted vertically, making much better use of the space and allowing easier access to all the bikes, as these before and after pictures show.

Roof Work

In May 2014 and after finally ending many years of inactivity sorting out the deteriorating roof, work started to re-cover it to a modern specification.

Social Events

Kingfisher Court Residents’ Association regularly organises social events with a Christmas party each year at one of the local establishments and since the success of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee party now organises an annual summer garden party. They are a great way to socialise with your neighbours or get to know new ones!
