Bill runs sessions for people to try their hand at making replicas of ancient pots such as Bronze Age Beakers and Urns.

2023 Ancient Pottery Workshops

In 2023 Bill is running workshops at the following venues, follow the links to find out more and how to book places.

23rd April and 14th October 2023 - At Butser Iron Age Farm, Hampshire. The Beakerfolk webpage for the event is at this link .

13th & 14th May - At Ancient Technology Centre, Cranborne, Dorset.

10th June - at Green Scythe Fair, Somerset. Ancient Pottery making sessions.
(The main public event is on Sunday 11th June)

22nd & 23rd July - Salisbury Museum Festival of Archaeology - Bill and Diane (his wife) will be demonstrating pottery and textile production. A hands-on-activity will be encouraging visitors to copy the decorations of prehistoric pots in the museum's splendid gallery, using slabs of clay to impress with various tools.

22nd - 30th July - At Corfe Castle, Dorset. With the Ancient Wessex Network. "Corfe Before the Castle". Pottery and other ancient crafts being run as hands-on activities, with hourly talks and demonstrations, for visitors during the Festival of British Archaeology, no booking, no charge (except National Trust entry fee into Castle).

29th - 30th July - HengeFest, Dorchester. Friday pottery workshop, Saturday Town Centre demos, Sunday in Maumbury Rings. Details to be announced.
