WorkshopsI have much experience as a workshop leader. I have led workshops in primary and secondary schools in East London, primary schools in Scotland and Singapore, in Whipps Cross Hospital, East London and at Wigmore Hall with 2 - 5 year olds as part of their ongoing scheme "Chamber Tots". I have also worked as part of a team of leaders in primary schools in Bristol with the West of England Philharmonic Orchestra and I have organised my own project at Grangefield Primary School and Pillowell Primary School, Gloucestershire. I currently take weekly workshops at Suckley Primary. The children are benefiting greatly from this new form of social interaction. I feel comfortable leading and feel that I have enough experience to be able to improvise and respond to any situation. TeachingI am a flute teacher for Worcestershire Music Service, at Berkhampstead School, Cheltenham and I teach from home (The Daffodil Suzuki Flute School). I have gained my Level 2 Suzuki Flute Teaching Qualification and will take my Level 3 this Summer. The course involves psychological study of child behaviour and natural steps of learning for the beginner. My philosophy for this project is influenced by Dr. Suzuki and my own thoughts evoked by the philosophy classes I attended at the School of Economic Science, London. DissertationI studied learning styles for my degree dissertation, including two case studies. |
